Rock and Roll radio started about the time Alan Freed styarted bopping tunes that partents hated in teh 50′s. Before that it was the crooners like Sinatra, Crosby and Como along with the sounds of Tommy Dorsey and Glenn Miller. KDKA radio in Pittsburgh was the pioneer and one of the first to broadcast in Pennsylvania. There are many stories we can share about our experiences over the years with Pa radio.. Share them here.
